Meet the Board
J.C. Stilley, CFA, CAIA
Senior Vice President, Treasurer
and Chief Investment O昀케cer
UNIVERSITY OF PITTSBURGH
MEDICAL CENTER
Mr. Stilley has been Chief Investment O昀케cer at
University of Pittsburgh Medical Center since 2015
and Treasurer since 2021. Mr. Stilley is responsible for
overseeing the day-to-day cash needs of UPMC, along
with the management of UPMC’s $10 billion of cash
and investments, its de昀椀ned bene昀椀t pension portfolio,
and the oversight of its outstanding bonds and other
debt. He also is a member of UPMC’s Retirement
Committee, overseeing an additional $5 billion of de昀椀ned
contribution plan assets.
Prior to joining UPMC in 2006, Mr. Stilley was with
RBC Capital Markets since 1999, most recently as a
Vice President. He was responsible for the quantitative
aspects of healthcare municipal bond transactions for
the 昀椀rm nationally, reporting to the Managing Director
of healthcare banking. From 1996 to 1999, Mr. Stilley
was an associate with PNC Capital Markets, serving
in various positions including municipal investment
banking, sales and trading, and back o昀케ce information
technology support. He has held Series 7 and Series
63 securities licenses with the National Association of
Securities Dealers with his prior employers and is a
CFA charterholder and a CAIA charterholder. Mr. Stilley
graduated from Princeton University in 1993 with a
degree in Economics.
Jared S. Weiner, CFA
Managing Director
PATHSTONE
Jared is a Managing Director of Private Markets at
Pathstone. He is a member of the Chief Investment
O昀케ce and chairs the Private Market Investment
Committee. Jared is also a Co-Founder and Investment
Committee member of Cambrian Capital Management,
which anchors and invests in lower and middle market
private equity.
Previously, Jared was a partner with Veritable, LP,
where he was the Director of Research and a member
of the Investment Committee that oversaw the 昀椀rm’s
$17 billion investment program. During this time, he
was a Co-Founder and participated on the Investment
Committee of Archean Capital Partners, which
successfully anchored six private equity managers
with over $500 million of capital commitments. Jared
joined Veritable in 2001 and his responsibilities included
sourcing, diligence, negotiations, and recommendations
of managers and investments to clients across
investment opportunities globally.
Jared is a Fulbright Scholar in Economics and graduated
with Highest Honors from Lehigh University with a BS in
Finance. He is a CFA® charterholder and earned an MBA
with a concentration in Strategic Asset Management from
the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
Jared currently serves as the President of the Wharton
Alumni Club of Philadelphia, which is one of the
Wharton’s largest and most active alumni clubs globally.
Jared and his wife are the proud parents of two
daughters and live in the Philadelphia suburbs.
