Rose de la Venta, CFA, Director, is a member of the
BlackRock Manager Research (“BMR”) team within the
Multi-Asset Strategies & Solutions group (“MASS”). Mrs.
de la Venta is the Global Head of Real Estate & Private
Markets team within the Investment Due Diligence pillar,
which uses qualitative methods to source, evaluate and
monitor top-tier investment managers.
Previously, Mrs. de la Venta was the Global Head of
Alternatives Manager Research for the Multi-Manager
Platform (“MMP”) within MASS. The Manager Research
pillar was responsible for generating alpha by identifying
managers through in-depth due diligence and was part
of the broader MMP, which encompassed Manager
Research & Selection (identifying and combining
managers to generate alpha), Manager Implementation
& Infrastructure (onboarding and changing managers
in a portfolio), and Relationship Management (building
strategic partnerships with managers).
Prior to joining BlackRock in 2014, Mrs. de la Venta worked
within River & Mercantile Group conducting manager
research across all asset classes for their pension
consulting division P-Solve. Prior to that she started her
career in Police Mutual Assurance Society, focusing on
research for their Fund Management department.
Karim Hassouna is a Managing Director within the
Alternative Investments Group at the J.P. Morgan Private
Bank where he leads the Global Private Real Estate/
Real Assets Due Diligence team responsible for diligence
and manager selection. Prior to joining J.P. Morgan,
Mr. Hassouna was a Senior Vice President for Franklin
Templeton Real Asset Advisors where he was actively
involved in sourcing, underwriting, negotiating, closing,
and monitoring global and Asian real estate investments.
His role also included portfolio construction and analytics,
as well as collaborating with the team’s portfolio
managers in advising institutional client portfolios. He
began his career at Thomson Financial, speci昀椀cally within
its capital markets intelligence department, to ultimately
advise the senior management of publicly traded
companies on equity ownership, trading, valuation,
and market activity. He holds an MIA from Columbia
University’s School of International & Public A昀昀airs with
a concentration in international business and security
studies. Mr. Hassouna holds a B.A. in psychology from
Gettysburg College.
Mrs. de la Venta earned an BSc degree in Financial
Economics from Coventry University, is a CFA
charterholder and earned an executive education in
Leading Strategic Growth from Columbia Business School.
Mrs. de la Venta was recognised as one of CityWire’s Top
100 Wealth Managers in 2023.
